What is BASIX?
BASIX (Building Sustainability Index) is an interactive assessment tool that promotes sustainable residential design. It is the mechanism for ensuring that new homes comply with the prescribed targets.
The introduction of BASIX into the development approval process shows the commitment of the NSW government to water and energy conservation.
